Milk powder, flour, coffee, spices, protein, starch, detergent and chemical powders — from 1 g sticks to 5 kg bags.
Powder is dosed by volume with a servo auger (screw) filler. Free-flowing powders such as sugar or salt can use volumetric cups; dusty or poor-flowing powders such as milk powder, protein or flour need an agitator, a closed hopper and often a vacuum feeder. Choose the machine by pack format: stick packs and small sachets (1–50 g) on single or multi-lane machines; pillow and gusset bags (50 g–5 kg) on a VFFS with auger; zipper pouches on a premade-pouch machine; cans and jars on a powder filling line.
